2017 Los Angeles Regional Security Conference
Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in conjunction with Anchorman, Inc. will be hosting a Regional Security Conference on May 20th, 2017, to provide a baseline level of instruction for Security, Staff, and Ushers. With current world events, terrorist threats have increased against soft targets, such as the church.
Mission
The mission of this conference is to provide information and resources for church security personal to develop a safe and secure environment for the congregation to worship, attend classes and participate in activities. To accomplish this goal, current law enforcement officers and experts will teach the following subject matters:
- Active Assailant Preparedness Training
- The Case for Security in Faith-Based Organizations
- Tactical Medical Training
- Tactics, Techniques and Protocols
Concept of Training
The day will start with worship and a short devotion given by Pastor Dale Goddard. Followed by administrative details and an overall briefing, given by Rick Hernandez – LASD, Deputy Sheriff/Paramedic, SEB. Lectures and a rotation to the different scenario stations will complete the training day.

Execution
All participants should wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Keep in mind, this is a hands on training for those in attendance by members of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB).
The Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) has grown in size and specialties to become one of the preeminent tactical teams in the United States. The Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) is responsible for handling high-risk tactical operations involving barricaded suspects, hostage situations, and high-risk warrant services. In addition, SEB provides security for visiting dignitaries and politicians including the President and Vice-President of the United States. Patrol stations and detective units also request SEB to provide "mission specific" police services in problematic areas.
